Early career physicians and medical students are the future of medicine and they have unique needs, interests and challenges. Early Career Physicians (ECP) is a section dedicated to early career physicians and medical students. 

Purpose: support the development of the early career physician and physicians in training as advocates for the betterment of public health through education, networking, leadership development and programming surrounding the unique needs of the early career physician

Your Panel

Moderator Nada Mallick, MD: Dr. Mallick specializes in pediatric critical care and is physician chair of the Children's National Hospital Pediatric Early Recognition and Resuscitation Committee and Late Rescue Collaborative. She is also the co-leader of two hospital-wide multidisciplinary committees examining medical emergency responses and resuscitation. In a coordinated effort with many other divisions in the hospital, her team monitors safety events and recommends clinical and educational interventions to bolster quality and safety at Children's National Hospital. Her research interests include quality improvement, resuscitation, sedation and delirium. 


Executive Coaching Presenter Mary Gross:
Mary is a lifelong learner who is passionate about helping others continue to learn and grow as leaders, team members, and individual contributors. She uses her significant business and consulting experience, along with strong academic credentials, to help leaders and teams find unique and effective solutions to their problems.

Before starting Human Edge Resources with Eleanor, Mary consulted to business leaders on strategy, team effectiveness and individual development needs; facilitated organizational effectiveness interventions; and designed and delivered leadership development programs based on adult learning principles at several major financial institutions.  She has also led major change initiatives in several areas: integrating resources as a result of mergers and acquisitions, creating succession management processes, and implementing new performance management and development systems.

Most recently, Mary served as the first Director of Career Services for the Wharton MBA Program for Executives, where she delivered training programs and coached mid- to senior level executives.
