Private Practice Physicians
Private practice physicians are the backbone of the medical profession. Our newest section offers the opportunity for these members to meet, network, and grow their practices by learning from experts and each other. This section is open to everyone but designed for physicians in practices not owned by a hospital or private equity firm, or physicians not employed directly or indirectly by a hospital.
Purpose: The purpose of the Medical Society of the District of Columbia (MSDC) Private Practice Physician (PPP) Section is advocate on private practice issues before the District government, hold programs to show best practices in practice management, create networks among physician practices, and allow members to collaborate on practice resources. The section is open to physicians in practices not owned by a hospital or private equity firm, or physicians not employed directly or indirectly by a hospital, although any MSDC member can participate in its activities.
Programs and Activities:
As a new section, the PPP aims to create programs to help meet the goals of the section. We are currently planning a kick-off event designed to educate physicians on forming an ACO.
