Hosted by Private Practice Physicians Section

MSDC’s Private Practice Physicians Section is pleased to offer a special session for MSDC members in collaboration with the American Medical Association. This on-demand virtual session will focus on changes in Evaluation & Management codes in an ambulatory setting. Topics include criteria for new vs. established patients, billing more than one service in a single encounter, telehealth and telephone services, and more E/M documentation and coding changes.

Participants may view two popular recorded E/M webinars from the AMA and access valuable resources at their convenience. They may get their personal questions answered via a discussion board, where they may also see answers to questions posed by other participants and engage directly with other MSDC members.

Below are the AMA resources available through the program:

  • E/M documentation and coding for ambulatory visits (a 2-part webinar)
  • Presenters: Jeannine Engel, MD (UVA Health) and Kevin Hopkins, MD (Cleveland Clinic)
  • Simplified outpatient documentation and coding E/M toolkit
  • Q&A document from previous AMA presentations

Starting in early March, members may get coding and documentation questions answered in real time by AMA experts during online “office hours.”
