Vice President for Population Programs and Community Affairs, MedStar Health, 2015 to present.
The Vice President for Population Health Management (PHM) Cooperate Managed Care is responsible for improving health outcomes for defined populations by proactively identifying and monitoring patients within those groups. Population Health Management programs—including Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), and Health Homes (HHs)—leverage business intelligence (BI) tools to aggregate clinical, financial, and operational data. These tools provide a comprehensive view of each patient, enabling providers to track outcomes, enhance the quality of care, and reduce costs.
At MedStar Health, the Population Health program integrates enterprise-wide data to deliver actionable analytics that support providers in enhancing both efficiency and care delivery. The program focuses on achieving key goals, including improved clinical outcomes, reduced healthcare costs, early detection and prevention of chronic conditions, and enhanced patient engagement and satisfaction. A key component of the strategy involves addressing health disparities through targeted interventions and active community engagement, particularly among underserved populations.
MSDC President, 2024-2025
I was drawn to join the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group for the same reasons I became a physician: an opportunity
to work along side talented, forward-thinking, driven individuals dedicated to improving the health and, ultimately, the quality of life of their patients. As a general urologist, I am interested in treating all areas of urology, including
enlarged prostate, lower urinary tract symptoms, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, voiding dysfunction, and basic oncology.
