Determining the Status of a Medicare Claim

If you are a DC Medicare provider and you have a question about a submitted claim, contact the automated customer service line at Trailblazer Health Enterprises – the Medicare contracted carrier for the DC area – at
1-877-391-2610.
You will need your six-digit provider identification number, the beneficiary’s identification number, and the claim number.

If after using the automated service, you are not satisfied, call
1-888-205-6833
to speak with a live customer service agent. Note: the live agents can determine whether or not you first tried to resolve the issue using the automated service. If you don’t use the automated service first, the customer service agent will refer you back to it.
