Legislation MSDC is Monitoring

MSDC is also closely monitoring activities surrounding:

• The District of Columbia Emergency Medical Services Agency Establishment Act of 2007 (B17-39), which would establish EMS as a separate administrative unit with the Executive Office of the Mayor; and the
• Department of Health Care Finance Establishment Act of 2007 (B17-75), which would remove the Medicaid program and related activities from the Department of Health. Medicaid currently represents $1.8 billion of the Department’s budget.
