MSDC Creates Leadership Development Committee

Last year's strategic planning process revealed the need for the Medical Society to develop a mechanism to "identify, recruit, listen to, train, reward and otherwise nurture physicians for positions of leadership in the Medical Society for both the short and long terms."  The newly formed Committee on Leadership Development and Nominations was created to address this need.

The Committee will also take over the work previously handled by the Nomination Committee: to develop the ballot for the annual MSDC election of officers. 

MSDC thanks the following members for agreeing to serve on this important committee: Damian P. Niles, Jr., MD; Brian Turisi, MD; and Alan G. Wasserman, MD.

MSDC Executive Vice President K. Edward Shanbacker, MPA, will also serve on the committee, and Director of Community Outreach Debra Evans will serve as staff liaison.
