Emergency PreparednessHave You Reviewed the DC Pandemic Influenza Plan Lately?
The DC Department of Health (DOH) called for an emergency Pandemic Influenza Summit in 2006. In collaboration with its health care community partners, the DC Department of Health worked to update the DC Influenza Plan in order to meet national standards developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Health and Human Services. MSDC and the DC Department of Health strongly encourage District physicians to become actively involved in this process since they are often the first to detect and report public health crises. You may review the DC Pandemic Influenza Plan on the DOH website www.doh.dc.gov under the Influenza Information tab. Please forward any feedback to K. Edward Shanbacker at 202-466-1800 ext.101 or shanbacker@msdc.org.
