Our StrategyCORE PURPOSE:
CORE VALUES: Professionalism—Exhibit professional responsibility, integrity, ethical behavior, and collegiality. Responsiveness—Be flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of physicians and patients. Inclusiveness—Serve member physicians from all ethnic/cultural perspectives. Excellence—Advance quality patient care and quality health care in the District; addressing important public health issues that have an impact on DC physicians and their patients. Stewardship—Use wisdom and sound judgment with MSDC resources in effectively addressing member needs.

ENVISIONED FUTURE: Increased emphasis on enhancing the value of physician practices to their patients and community. Continued commitment to serve as the voice of DC physicians on critical issues and professional concerns. Renewed relationships with other community members to achievement our common goals of improving the District. GOALS: Serve, then lead—We will serve our members and our community through all means available, and any required; our example will be how we encourage others to do the same. Connect Physicians and Patients—Physicians are the recognized experts in medince, and must be available to discuss their practice with colleagues and with their patients. Support Practices—Members need the competitve edge that can only be provided through Society membership; without the ability to sustain their practice, they cannot serve their patients. The Society has a responsibility for affordability to members and their patients
