MSDC & Mansour Wealth Management Present: Asset Protection for Physicians

MSDC and Mansour Wealth Management cordially invite MSDC members and their guests to attend a Complimentary Grazing and Wine Pairing in conjunction with a presentation on “Asset Protection for Physicians.”  Rita Mansour, Managing Director, Regional Manager, and Kurt DeVries, JD, VP, Sr. Business Development Consultant, of McDonald Investments, will be speaking on Thursday, July 20th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Olives Restaurant, 1600 K Street, NW, World Center Building, Washington, DC 20006.  The topic of discussion will consist of protecting your retirement assets against creditors, specifically – malpractice claimants and their attorneys.  DeVries, a graduate of Gonzaga Law School, and former attorney, has worked for the last 9 years in the securities industry serving affluent and successful families and businesses.  He has a unique perspective based on his experience – legally in estate planning, trusts, and taxation; and financially as an investment advisor and one of KeyBank & McDonald Investments’ senior estate planning and insurance specialists.

Mansour and DeVries will discuss some of the more ‘traditional methods’ of protecting your retirement assets, e.g. different ways that federal law (DC), and state law (VA & MD) can be utilized to invest assets in equities, bonds, and cash so as to be “malpractice proof.”  This 45-minute forum will discuss different ways to use state or federal laws to invest in certain types of trusts or investments vehicles that are attorney-proof and cannot be touched by the legitimate, or fraudulent, malpractice claimant.  For more information or to RSVP, please contact Jane Moncrief at 202-558-3014 or moncrief@msdc.org.
