GW MFA AED Program

We welcome all Medical Society Members to take advantage of this great offer. Medical Faculty Associates, The George Washington University, in conjunction with the Medical Society of the District of Columbia offers you the benefit of purchasing a complete AED Program at a special rate ONLY offered to Medical Society Members. GW is able to provide over 37 years of experience in EMS Education and Training along with 21 Board Certified Emergency Physicians.

Below are the components of a successful turn-key AED Program that we will be able to provide:

  • Device Procurement:

  • Ability to offer all manufacturer’s makes and models of AEDs at a discounted price to all MSDC Members

  • Training:

  • Training is offered in CPR and AED for lay responders and/or office personnel

  • If a higher level of training is required, GW is able to offer First Aid, Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS).

  • Program Management Tracking:

  • GW is proud to offer a Web-Based On-Line Client Management System

  • System will assist clients with the tracking of staff trained and expiration

  • System will track expiration dates on pads, batteries and device warranty expiration.

  • System will automatically send “reminder emails” when any of the above certification or expiration dates are forthcoming. Client will receive messages at 120, 90, 60 and 30 days prior to expiration.

  • Compliance Program Registration:

  • GW will provide a written description of state(s) AED Law.

  • GW will also register the devices with the state and/or local EMS/EMT, where required.

  • Facility Surveys:  

  • A site survey is performed to asses a client’s current level of preparedness

  • Optimum number of AEDs suggested for each location

  • Most strategic placement of these devices.

  • Medical direction protocols are developed based on the client’s site and capability.

  • Event Review:

  • If an incident were to occur, GW will download the data from the device

  • Program Medical Director will review the data, critique the response plan, provide an official post-event review report and offer suggestions for improvement or action plan, if necessary.

  • Medical Direction and Program Oversight:

  • GW LIFESAVERS Program utilizes board certified emergency medicine physicians for medical direction.

  • A protocol is developed that is unique to each facility’s physical and environmental structure, whether it is a corporation, institution or federal agency, at home or abroad.
